Berkey:

The Berkey Filter System works on gravity and is not connected to any water source.  You add the water to the system via pitcher and the system produces 3 gallons an hour.  The water is added by hand with the canister standing 20” Tall on the counter top.  They do claim to reduce the number of contaminants, viruses, VOCs and such.  I was unable to find any certification.
Big Birkey Water Filter

Cast Iron Pipes
Hundreds have cast iron water mains over 100 years old. Cast iron pipes used for waste piping, however, are subject to corrosive action that pipes carrying drinking water are not. The external rust, unless showing deep pitting, is common and probably not a concern.

Capacity:
Drinking Water Filter is approved at 750 gallons for the Aquaversa.  Since we can count the number of gallons with the meter, we can ensure up to  1200 gallons.  It is still recommended the filter be changed once a year if the flow slows or there is a change in taste or smell.

Capacity Monitor:

Capacity Monitor for Aquaversa and Aquaperform

Increases filter capacity to 1200 for Aquaversa and 960 gal for Aquaperform $35.00
has two parts to it.  There is an indicator light which is placed under the faucet.  This blinks when the water is flowing to indicate the fullness of the filter.  The meter itself is below the sink and connected with tubing between the Drinking Water System and the faucet.  It counts the number of gallons which go through the system.  It does not indicate when the filter needs to be changed, just the number of gallons used.  It is still recommended you changed the filter once a year, if the flow slows or if there is a change in taste or smell.

Carbon filter
Won't take out salts
Multipure’s densely compacted carbon block filter mechanically intercepts particles as small as 0.5 micron (submicron) as well as electrokinetically absorbs particles. In addition, the carbon block filter has a large surface area for chemical adsorption to take place
Granular Activated Carbon Filters (GAC)
GAC is only effective in trapping dirt, rust, sand and silt and removing objectionable tastes and odors. Water passes through a bed of loose carbon granules. Water can channel around the carbon instead of filtering through it.

 performance data information.

Arsenic
Occurs naturally part of Earth's crust Many wells have
arsenic particularly in the western part of the country.(see notes)
Studies have shown that chronic or repeated ingestion of water with arsenic over a person’s lifetime is associated with increased risk of cancer (of the skin, bladder, lung, kidney, nasal passages, liver or prostate) and noncancerous effects (diabetes, cardiovascular, immunological and neurological disorders).
Bladder Cancer a potent carcinogen also linked to IQ deficits in children,
EWG recommends Multipure 880 to remove arsenic in water.
Boiling water makes it worse
Bathing with water that contains arsenic is not a significant health risk because arsenic is not readily absorbed through the skin. Some ingestion of arsenic may occur when brushing your teeth. Although the amount ingested is minimal, using a clean source of water for brushing your teeth is advisable.
For private well owners or others testing for arsenic, the depth of the well and the well design can affect the presence of arsenic in the well water.
Arsenic V
This naturally occurring toxin has been linked to several cancers and has been found to harm nerves, heart, and skin. Currently, the EPA Standard for Arsenic V is 50 ppb. Water utilities have until 2006 to comply with EPA’s new standard of 10 ppb.

Chromium 6

Multipure's RO is NSF cert. under Standard 58 for the reduction of Chromium V1.
Multipure has performed independent testing on the CB6 filter and was able to meet Standard 53 performance for the reduction of Chromium V1. However, because the published capacity of the CB6 filter is 750 gallons we are unable to add an NSF claim.
Multipure is in the process of full NSF cart for Aqualuxe for Chromium V1 for 500 gallons.( Aqualux capacity 500 gals.)

Environmental Working Group concludes that the tap water of 218 million Americans contains levels of chromium-6 that the group considers dangerous.

Chromium-6, which is rare in nature, is produced by industrial processes. Chromium-6 is used in electroplating, stainless steel production, leather tanning, textile manufacturing and wood preservation,

In 2008, a two-year study by the National Toxicology Program found that drinking water with chromium-6 caused cancer in laboratory rats and mice

Reverse osmosis filters, especially when combined with superior carbon filter technology, are best for riding tap water of the largest number of contaminants possible.

Oklahoma and California also listed amongst the highest levels.

“Chromium-6 Found in Tap Water of 31 U.S. Cities”

Chemicals / Pesticides
More than 75,000 chemicals have been introduced to the environment over the past 60 years. And, the EPA has established national standards for fewer than 60 chemicals. Chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides have been linked to many diseases, including cancers in humans; nervous system damage; liver problems; and reproductive problems. Copper:
Need RO Cristosporidium

Disinfection Byproducts (DBPs)
Disinfectants, such as chlorine and chloramines, which are used to kill microbes, form harmful byproducts (DBPs). Many of the DBPs have been found to cause potential health risks, including human cancers and birth and developmental defects.
Some 600 DBPs have been identified since 1974; however, scientists believe that represents only 50% of all DBPs that occur in chlorine-treated water and 17% of those occurring in chloramine treated water. Of the identified DBPs, the toxicity is known for maybe 30%.

More than 90% of the population drink water that has been disinfected. The DBPs enter the water supply as it moves from the treatment plant through the distribution system to the kitchen tap.
Iron
We are not certified to take out iron. Only reverse osmosis is.
Lead
All systems remove Lead. Water can pick up lead almost anywhere along the way from the treatment plant to the tap. Lead enters tap water through corrosion of plumbing materials. Lead in drinking water can cause a variety of adverse health effects when people are exposed to it at levels above the maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 15 ppb.

In babies and children, exposure to lead in drinking water can result in delays in physical and mental development; slight deficits in attention span; hearing problems, and learning disabilities. Adults who drink water contaminated with lead could develop high blood pressure.

Methyl-Tertiary-Butyl-Ether (MTBE)

MTBE, a controversial gasoline additive used for two decades, has seeped into groundwater throughout the country
Radium & Arsenic
The system which would reduce these is the AquaRO. Nitrates
MP750SB does not remove nitrates. You can do that with our model MP750Plus RO.

TTHM
Performance Data. Specifications (see notes)
TDS (high in Vegas)
Our Drinking Water Systems do not reduce TDS (Total Dissolved Solids).  This is usually the minerals in the water which we do not reduce.
toto-tre-hel-methane- put ammonia chemical with chlorine reaction brain eating ameba.
Trihalomethanes. Chlorine that has interacted with organic material to form trihalomethanes changing the molecular structure of chlorine. Very difficult to remove.
MP tested & Cert. by NSF to reduce chlorine and Trihalomethanes.
Remove lead but not minerals
specific dissolved contaminants such as lead and volatile organic chemicals are attracted to the carbon surface and retained by chemical reaction and absorption.Compared to a magnet that attracts metal shavings.
Doesn't take out minerals. Natural minerals in drinking water have been completely dissolved and don't have a physical size, so healthy minerals may pass through a carbon block filter without restriction. Our materials in our systems react with the chemical contaminants in water but not with natural minerals.
Healthful minerals may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Methyl-Tertiary-Butyl-Ether (MTBE)
MTBE, a controversial gasoline additive used for two decades, has seeped into groundwater throughout the country. MTBE does not break down easily and is difficult and costly to remove from groundwater. There currently is no federal standard for this possible human carcinogen.
Cryptosporidium & Giardia (Cysts)
These parasitic cysts are generally more resistant to disinfectants and are particularly harmful to persons with compromised immune systems. Cysts can be killed by boiling water or removed by filtration.
Perchlorate
The most common use of perchlorate is in ammonium perchlorate, which is a major ingredient of rocket fuels. Perchlorate is also used to make flares, explosives, blasting agents, fireworks, and military munitions such as grenades.
has been found in 22 states where it was manufactured and handled
A chemical found in Martian soil might make it more dangerous to establish a permanent settlement there.
Exposure to high levels of perchlorate can damage your thyroid function by interfering with the body’s ability to absorb iodine into the thyroid gland, where iodine is an essential component of thyroid hormones.
Inhaling ammonium perchlorate can cause severe respiratory tract irritation or pulmonary edema. Exposure can irritate the eyes, nose, throat, skin and gastrointestinal tract.
Fetus at risk growing infants. 5 – 17 million Americans have perchlorate in your drinking water
TDS
Dissolved solids" refer to any minerals, salts, metals, cations or anions dissolved in water. Total dissolved solids (TDS) comprise inorganic salts (principally calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonates, chlorides, and sulfates) and some small amounts of organic matter that are dissolved in water.
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is a measurement of everything in your water – Good and Bad. ... Minerals such as calcium and magnesium are found in hard water and are good to have in drinking water. They help you get your daily recommended daily allowance of minerals
An elevated total dissolved solids (TDS) concentration is not a health hazard.
water with high TDS be undesirable or harmful? It may taste bitter, salty, or metallic and may have unpleasant odors.
TDS Meter indicates the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of a solution, i.e. the concentration of dissolved solids in it. Since dissolved ionized solids such as salts and minerals increase the conductivity of a solution, a TDS meter measures the conductivity of the solution and estimates the TDS from that.
For drinking water, the maximum concentration level set by EPA is 500 mg/L.
The average tap water in America contains approximately 350 ppm of TDS ...
Uranium
There is no NSF standard for ,Uranium so Multipure cannot make any claims. The Water Quality Association recommends Reverse Osmosis as an effective means of reducing Uranium, should it be present in your drinking water. It is certified by the state of California to reduce Radium 226/228

Faucet
We only have the one faucet available for sale.  Any butler style faucet with 1/4” tubing can be used with our Drinking Water systems.
Above sink need to remove the aerator from her faucet to attach the diverter valve
The flow rate is determined by the amount you open the needle valve on the water supply, however, the recommended rate is 3 quarts per minute. This allows the water adequate contact time with the media for proper removal of contaminants. I
The recommended flow rate is a quart in 20 seconds with the water pressure at 60 psi.  The faucet usage should not matter as long at the connection is ¼”
Any butler style faucet with 1/4” tubing can be used with our Drinking Water systems.

The faucet stands 10 ½” tall with a 5 ½” reach.
Bass of handle 1 1/2
You need a 1/2 in. hole in the counter.
The faucet must be a low flow faucet.
The tubing is 1/4 in.
And you need a 12" clearance.
The faucet which we use with our system has a ¼” tubing and is a ceramic disc style.  They can use any faucet as long as it has one line (Butler Style) and ¼” tubing.

The faucet is chrome plated over the stainless steel

The Brushed Nickel Faucet matches the stainless steel appliances the best.  It has the least amount of shine. Brushed stainless shiny
Brushed nickel matches stainless steel better
Butler style faucet is used with a standalone faucet, not the main line.  If this will be a second faucet, then they can use this brand with a butler style faucet (One line only)
If your tubing for the faucet is not 1/4 in buy adapters at a hardware store.
Ceramic Filters
These devices are designed for mechanical filtration only. Ceramic filters do not reduce or remove any chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, disinfection byproducts, or dissolved heavy metals.
Drilling hole (see notes)
RO Faucet air gap 3 pieces of tubing

A counter-top version will not work with the pull-out faucet since it does not have an aerator.

Designer Faucet:
The $30.00 charge is for the designed faucet at the time of purchase of the Drinking Water System.  If they purchase later is will be $70.00.  They can exchange designer colored faucets if purchase at the time of the original sale.
Filters:
Granular Activated filters GAC (most filters) contain loose granules of carbon, while carbon block activated carbon filters have solid blocks of compressed carbon. A major advantage of carbon block filters is that they allow for water to be in contact with carbon for a longer period, which leads to a better contaminant removal. The same cannot be said about GAC filters, Our filter absorbs chemicals. takes out the bacteria, chemical pollutants, microscopic bacteria, particulate matter, heavy metal, lead mercury.

How do the Different Technologies Compare?
Carbon Block Filters
Multipure’s carbon block filters are considered to be the most effective method for reducing a wide range of contaminants of health concern as well as solving aesthetic problems. Multipure’s densely compacted carbon block filter mechanically intercepts particles as small as 0.5 micron (submicron), as well as electrokinetically, absorbs particles. In addition, the carbon block filter has a large surface area for chemical adsorption to take place. The carbon block filter is a replaceable cartridge designed so that it can be easily changed. Some additional advantages of the carbon block filter are: it does not waste water; no electricity required; it does not remove beneficial minerals, and it does not add salt or silver to the water.
Granular Activated Carbon Filters (GAC)
GAC is only effective in trapping dirt, rust, sand and silt and removing objectionable tastes and odors. Water passes through a bed of loose carbon granules. Water can channel around the carbon instead of filtering through it.
Silver-Charcoal Filters (Bacteriostatic Filters)
Silver Nitrate, a known toxin, is added to a GAC filter to inhibit the growth of heterotrophic bacteria; however, its effectiveness is questionable.
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
RO devices effectively reduce suspended and dissolved matter from water, including minerals which are essential to good health. RO systems do not remove all bacteria or chemicals. This process is very slow and may not filter as much water as you need at a time. The device may take up most of the space under your sink. RO can be expensive to maintain, requiring several separate replacement filters per year. An activated carbon filter usually accompanies an RO system.
Filters Needed For RO System
Ceramic Filters
These devices are designed for mechanical filtration only. Ceramic filters do not reduce or remove any chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides, disinfection byproducts, or dissolved heavy metals.
Distillation
Much like Reverse Osmosis, Distillation removes all minerals. Distillers boil water and recondense the water vapor. This process is ineffective at reducing chemicals because they also vaporize along with the water. Distillation can only produce a few gallons of treated water a day. Distillation also uses a lot of electricity, making it an expensive process.
Water Softeners
Softeners are neither filters nor purifiers and are used only to change the water hardness

MP vs Aquasauna
The wording on the Aquasana is a little misleading here, notice how they say “has the ability to reduce…”, not that it does reduce.  I’m guessing that the carbon blocks in the Aquasource have the ability to reduce VOCs etc., but we don’t claim it because we don’t have any test data to support it (we’ve never tested it).  We too use high-grade coconut shell carbon, but ours is compressed into a block – the Aquasana has granular carbon.
I’m guessing the micron rating for the Aquasource is about 25-50 microns.  Any smaller than that and we’re risking reducing the flow rate of water throughout the whole house.
They do not give a capacity for pesticides, herbicides, and solvents.  This is likely due to the (probably) low performance for these specific contaminants.

Aesthetic Effects (NSF Standard No. 42)
A drinking water treatment system may be certified under Standard 42 if the system aesthetically improves the water. This includes the reduction of chlorine, chloramine, and particulate reduction.
Chlorine Reduction
A device can be certified for chlorine reduction by meeting the minimum level of reduction required by the NSF standard, which is only 10%. Be sure to check the literature to determine how much chlorine is reduced by the device.
Particulate Reduction
Several classes are used to define the level of particulate reduction, ranging from Class VI for those devices removing coarse particulates of 50 micrometers and larger to Class I for drinking water treatment units that reduce the smallest (sub-micron) particles (0.5 to 1.0 micron).
Health Effects (NSF Standard No. 53)
NSF tests and certifies under this standard if a filter system reduces a significant amount of a specific harmful contaminant from drinking water. Such hazardous contaminants may be microbiological (including filterable cysts), chemical (including DBPs, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides), or particulate in nature. NSF may certify that a drinking water treatment unit may be effective in controlling one or more of the health effects contaminants. By carefully reviewing the performance data sheet for a product, you will be able to determine whether the device is effective in reducing many pollutants or just a few.
The slower the flow rate the easier to get contaminants out
NSF/ANSI 401 - Testing for Emerging Contaminants (15 contaminants.) can be certified for just a few
NSF/ANSI 53 - Health Effects ( Many) see list
Reverse Osmosis (NSF Standard No. 58)
The Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology is tested and certified under Standard 58. RO devices effectively reduce certain heavy metals, salts, and inorganics, including healthful, naturally-occurring minerals. Contaminants extracted through the Reverse Osmosis process are returned to the water supply. The process is slow and wastes about 3 to 4 gallons for every one gallon of water produced.
Distillation (NSF Standard No. 62)
NSF Standard 62 was developed for the Distillation technology which works very slowly and uses a lot of electricity. Water is heated to boiling and turns to vapor, leaving inorganic contaminants, including healthful minerals, behind. Chemicals evaporate along with the water and then recondense into a liquid state in the distilled water

We do not change the PH level.   It would be the same before and after.  The water taste should not change since this is usually from the minerals and we do not remove them.

The AquaRO removes the minerals so there should be no taste (dead water). The PH level is 7.

PH
Pollution can change a water's pH, which in turn can harm animals.
While the ideal pH level of drinking water should be between 6-8.5, the human body maintains pH equilibrium on a constant basis and will not be affected by water consumption. For example, our stomachs have a naturally low pH level of 2 which is a beneficial acidity that helps us with food digestion.
The pH value is a good indicator of whether water is hard or soft.
If the pH of water is too high or too low, aquatic organisms living within it will die.
pH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. The range goes from 0 - 14, with 7 being neutral

We do not change the PH level.   It would be the same before and after.  The water taste should not change since this is usually from the minerals and we do not remove them.

Reverse Osmosis: The AquaRO removes the minerals so there should be no taste (dead water). 7PH Level The RO Membrane is a high-production 50 gpd thin film composite semipermeable Membrane.

Radioactive Icotope
radioactive isotope or radioisotope, natural or artificially created isotope of a chemical element having an unstable nucleus that decays, emitting alpha, beta, or gamma rays until stability is reached. The stable end product is a nonradioactive isotope of another element, i.e., radium-226 decays finally to lead-206.
Radioactive isotopes have many useful applications. In medicine, for example,cobalt-60 is extensively employed as a radiation source to arrest the development of cancer. Other radioactive isotopes are utilized as tracers for diagnostic purposes, as well as in research on metabolic processes.

Scientists in California and Oregon have collected samples of tuna, a fish known ... them for radioactive isotopes, Cesium-134 in particular, from Fukushima.

Japan’s nuclear disaster released hundreds of millions of gallons of radioactive water in 2011, sparking rampant speculation that a contaminated plume would reach the waters of North America’s West Coast

Softners
Gets rid of mineral content. Adds salt are neither filters nor purifiers, they just change water hardness.
Hard water... is water that contains an appreciable quantity of dissolved minerals (like calcium and magnesium)
Soft water... is treated water in which the only ion is sodium.
As rainwater falls, it is naturally soft. However, as water makes its way through the ground and into our waterways, it picks up minerals like chalk, lime and mostly calcium and magnesium. Since hard water contains essential minerals, it is sometimes the preferred drinking water. Not only because of the health benefits, but also the flavor. On the other hand, soft water tastes salty and is sometimes not suitable for drinking. So why, then, do we soften our water?
Hard water... is water that contains an appreciable quantity of dissolved minerals (like calcium and magnesium)
Hard water is not considered to be dangerous to one's health
Studies also suggest that hard water can cause an increase in eczema in children. This is because the minerals in hard water can dry out skin and hair.
Hard water can be “softened” by reducing the concentration of calcium, magnesium and other minerals. A temporary hardness of water can be treated either by boiling it or by adding lime (calcium hydroxide).
Other than boiling the water or using hard water descaler, lime or washing soda can also be used to soften hard water
In this method, lime is added to large water containers and the water is left to stand for a number of days before it can be used. The water is then drawn from the top of the containers.
As hard water flows through the plumbing and fixtures the minerals re-deposit and creates scale build up.(Kinetico water softner)

Water softeners have a separate brine tank that uses common salt to create this brine solution. In normal operation, hard water moves into the mineral tank and the calcium and magnesium ions move to the beads, replacing sodium ions.
Softeners are neither filters nor purifiers and are used only to change the water hardness.

When you soften water it's hard to rinse out soap from your hair and clothing.

Whole house Systems Aquasource (reduces chlorine and particulates) does produce 10 to 12 gallons with a 5O micron wrapper.  They are not certified as of yet and do reduce pressure. Reduce presence of contaminants while pressure is maintained. Stainless steel 35"hX16"d 120 lbs.
The Aquasource (New Stainless Steel System) has three filters which would be changed yearly.  The older whole house systems (TO15000 & TO30000) it is recommended every six months for the filter in the blue canister. No other whole house uses solid carbon block?
12 mo 0 interest $500. down
We don’t make contaminant claims on the whole house system because so much of that water used goes down the drain/toilet, and it would be a waste of resources to filter all of that water to drinking water quality (like with a regular Multipure system).  The Aquasource’s primary function is to take out chlorine, taste & odor, dirt & sediment.
Micron size of filter. Approximately 50 micron.  The Aquasouce should produce 10 to 12 gallons per minutes at  60 PSI.  Each filter is designed for 33,000 gallons and changed at least once a year.
The MP750
The system does not come with any service parts.  It is intended for use with a refrigerator or instant-hot.  It is not recommended to be connected to the main faucet line as it will slow the flow and will use filters very fast.  A counter-top version will not work with the pull-out faucet since it does not have an aerator.

The MP750SB Aquaversa System stands 8 ½” tall by 5 3/4” wide.

Water Pressure:
Measure. With the Water Pressure at 60 PSI, we would time 20 second for a quart of water.  If the water pressure were different,  the time would be higher or lower. The water flow for both the Aquaversa and the Aquaperform is a quart in 20 seconds at  60 PSI The water pressure is measured as it comes into the house.

Ultraviolet water purification
is the most effective method for disinfecting bacteria from the water. Ultraviolet (UV) rays penetrate harmful pathogens in your home's water and destroy illness-causing microorganisms by attacking their genetic core (DNA).
UV light kills bacteria, viruses, and some cysts. It does not kill Giardia lamblia cysts or Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts, which must be removed by filtration or distillation.

Well Water:

Info on contaminants in well water.
The Reverse Osmosis is not really helpful with for well water.  It will remove the minerals (not sulfur) and wastes water since it takes 3 to 5 gallons to make one gallon of reverse osmosis water.
We usually recommend the customer have two filters and change them when the sulfur smell comes.
If your water comes from your own well, the U.S. EPA advises that you test it annually, especially if you see signs of trouble like corroded pipes, strange odors or stained laundry. Your municipality, county or state health department may offer free or low-cost testing services; otherwise, you can use a laboratory certified in your state. For further information on well water quality, the EPA suggests consulting nonprofit groups like the American Ground Water Trust (www.agwt.org).

Whole House Aquasource
Our whole home filter is designed to reduce chlorine. The media in the filtration system also has the ability to reduce VOCs & SOCs like herbicides, pesticides, and industrial solvents through the use of high-grade coconut granular carbon.  The system is designed to leave in all natural minerals (calcium, potassium, and magnesium).  Pro kits come with a 3rd stage post filter. The 3rd stage of the unit ia sub-micron filter that gets down to .35 sub-microns (60 times smaller than what the naked eye can see).
Questions and Answers: (With Lorinda's help) Ques:  Do we remove Soda Ash from water softners.
Ans:
"Soda Ash is not listed on the performance data sheets so it is not reduced.  Water Softeners usually add minerals like potassium and salt.  We do not reduce the minerals. "
Ques: "I installed this in my newly remodeled kitchen and it seems to work well, except that I have too many air bubbles. Is this normal ?" Ques: "How is the water flow from the unit? How much water can you generate in an hour/a day? Any problems with slow flow rate or clogging? "How does this filtered water taste? Is it sour/acidic?"
Ans: The flow for our Aquaversa Drinking Water Systems will be a quart in 20 seconds at 60 PSI.    If you are asking about the AquaRO, it will product about 17 gallons a day.   The flow of the filter systems will slow as the filter fills with particulates.
"We do not change the PH level.   It would be the same before and after.  The water taste should not change since this is usually from the minerals and we do not remove them.
Ques: "A customer who lives right outside of Portland wants to know which system is best for him. This link shows there is radium and arsenic in his water. What would you recommend? "
Ans: "They could use any of our Drinking Water systems.  If they are worried about the radium and arsenic, the system which would reduce these is the AquaRO.  It does take more work and wasted water.  The amounts in the report are small amounts.  They would need to make the decision of what system they would like to use.  We do not make that decision."
Question:
Does this filter out uranium?
Answer:
There is no NSF standard for Uranium so Multipure cannot make any claims. The Water Quality Association recommends Reverse Osmosis as an effective means of reducing Uranium, should it be present in your drinking water. It is certified by the state of California to reduce Radium 226/228

Question:
Can it be installed under the kitchen floor, mounted in the basement below?
Answer:
Yes, it can but the flow rate will be lower.

Question:
Installing faucet through granite countertop?

Answer:
Yes, you can install a Multipure faucet in a Granite countertop. Use a Standard hole size with a
simple variable speed drill and use a 1/2″ diamond tipped drill. Granite is too hard to crack.

Ques:
Air Bubbles:
The pressure is too high or there is a bubble in the houing.  The best solution is to turn the adapta valve down just a bit.  The bubbles do dissipate but do not look good.

Ques:

Is this filter made in China
Answer:
No, they are made in the U.S.A., and they are made fresh, weekly.
We only sell genuine Multipure Drinking Water Systems, and
cartridges from other companies should never be substituted.
Ques: I live in France. Will I be able to hook this up using the adaptavalve supplied?

Ques:
Can I run tubing under the floor to the refrigerator.
Ans: Yes Ans:   The adaptavalve uses a 3/8 compression fitting. If your plumbing does not use this size, you can buy adapters at a hardware store. Multipure does not have any other sizes. You could also use a different valve that connects directly to your plumbing if it is different.
